Owen Douphner

Volleyball has been at the heart of my life for over 15 years — from competing at the highest levels to now coaching and mentoring the next generation of athletes. I began coaching last year with the SoCal Legends Boys 13 Elite team, helping lead them to a 2nd-place finish in the 13 Open division at AAUs. Since then, I’ve expanded into private coaching, virtual film review, and player mentorship to support athletes from every angle. Before stepping into coaching, I played for elite clubs like SoCal Legends and Legacy Volleyball Club and was a standout outside hitter at Hart High School. There, I earned All-American honors, was named CIF Division IV Player of the Year, and was recognized as the MaxPreps National High School Player of the Year. Currently, I play setter at Cal State Northridge, where our team has been ranked as high as #8 in the nation by the AVCA DI/II poll. From championship wins to tough losses, I’ve experienced the full journey — and it’s shaped how I train, communicate, and lead.
